Pfizer will operate its Biotherapeutics and Bioinnovation Center in the building at 455 Mission Bay Blvd. on the development's north campus. The company's long-term lease also allows for the potential expansion of its space by an additional 50,000 square feet. Upon completion, Alexandria Center will encompass 13 state-of-the-art facilities designed to accommodate the specific needs of life sciences companies. Other entities that have already committed to the office/laboratory development include the University of California San Francisco's orthopedic clinic and research and translational unit.
