A $30 million loan has been put in place for the refinancing of Carmel Mountain Ranch Town Center, a 172,300-square-foot retail property in San Diego. Capmark Finance Inc. vice president Mike Dobbins orchestrated the transaction on behalf of borrower Sudberry Properties Inc., obtaining a loan from Washington Mutual. Located on a 16-acre parcel at 11815-11995 Carmel Mountain Rd., the neighborhood shopping center features a 45,000-square-foot Ralph's supermarket and a 23,700-square-foot Rite Aid as its anchors. Other tenants at the property include Bank of America, El Pollo Loco, McDonald's, a Shell gas station and Trader Joe's, as well as Washington Mutual. Sudberry secured the loan with 78,300 square feet in the center, including Trader Joe's and all shop space.
