Teams Vie for Convention Center Expansion Project
May 9, 2008

Having recently received three proposals for the expansion of the 1.6 million-square-foot Anaheim Convention Center, the Anaheim City Council is now preparing to announce the winning bid at a meeting on June 10, according to an Orange County Register article. The three competing teams are Sonnenblick-Del Rio Development Inc., Garfield Traub Development and Regent Development O.C. The city is seeking to increase the center's size with the addition of 200,000 square feet of exhibit and meeting space, a hotel and 1,500 parking spaces. If all goes according to plan, the expansion project will reach completion in 2012.
