Spire in Denver Gets Construction Loan

Corus Bank has announced that it has closed a $118 million loan to Spire Denver L.L.C., an affiliate of Nichols Partnership Inc., to finance the building of Spire, a 41-story condominium building in Denver, Colo. The project will consist of 503 residential units, and approximately 7,600 square feet of ground-floor retail space.

At the Democratic National Convention in Denver this year, "green" key cards will be used in Denver hotel rooms--their debut in this country, according to Sustainable Cards and their manufacturer CPI Card Group. More than 70,000 biodegradable cards will be issued and used in area hotels.

Construction Kicks Off on Tech Firm's Office Building in Loveland

Ground has broken on Waltham, Mass.-based Constant Contact Inc.'s new 50,000-square-foot office building in Loveland, Colo. Located near the intersection of Rocky Mountain Ave. and Test Dr. in Precision Office Park at Centerra, the build-to-suit facility will mark the e-mail marketing provider's first foray beyond its corporate headquarters home in Massachusetts. McWhinney is on board to oversee development activity, and Dohn Construction is serving as general contractor. Work is scheduled to reach completion in early 2009.
