Phoenix Apartment Property Fetches $10M

Ownership of Brookside, a 203-unit multi-family property in Phoenix, has just come under new ownership courtesy of a transaction valued at $10.3 million. Brookside Properties L.L.C. snapped up the apartment complex from Brookside-Premier L.L.C. Carrying the address of 6131 W. Thomas Rd., Brookside occupies a nearly seven-acre parcel surrounded by highways and located within close proximity to the 1 million-square-foot Desert Sky Mall and Cricket Pavilion Amphitheater. Developed in 1984, the property encompasses approximately 137,400 square feet. Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services' national multi-housing group orchestrated the transaction, representing both the seller and the buyer, and announced the transaction.

Arizona Biltmore to Get $300M Facelift
The Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa is set to undergo a $300 million renovation. Initial plans for the renovation call for the addition of 300 guest rooms, a spa and expanded restaurant facilities. The resort's owners are hoping that the city of Phoenix will approve their zoning request, which was filed on July 9.

Despite a local office market pushing 19 percent vacancy, the newly-constructed Avnet Building in the Phoenix suburb of Chandler was sold to FORT Properties Inc. for $35.2 million.
