Three new Macy's will open their doors in the Phoenix area within the next two years, a move that is part of the chain's goal of making their stores the leading fashion destination in their respective communities. At SanTan Village in Gilbert, a 120,000-square foot Macy's will debut in 2009, and will serve as an anchor along with Dillard's and Harkins Theaters. In Goodyear, the store will open in a 120,000-square-foot anchor spot at Estrella Falls in 2010. The third Macy's will, which will encompass 150,000 square feet, will open at the 76-acre CityCenter of CityNorth, a mixed-use segment of the 144-acre CityNorth development in Phoenix's northeast valley.
