RIDA Development Buys Orlando Site

RIDA Development Corp. has acquired the 5.62-acre downtown Plaza site at 400 N. Orange Avenue, a city block bordered by Orange Avenue, Amelia Street, Livingston Street and the Linx bus station at the I-4 Amelia St. Exit in Orlando, Fla. The seller was Downtown Plaza L.L.C. The acquisition brings the company’s investments in Central Florida up approaching $1 billion.  RIDA Development plans to invest up to $250 million to develop a mixed-use hotel, retail and office project on the site.
