Discussion on Atlanta-Area Hotel-Retail Complex Probably Delayed
May 13, 2008

Though Planning Commission officials were scheduled to discuss a proposed hotel and retail complex slated for the Park Place community near Stone Mountain in Gwinnett (Atlanta area), that discussion has likely been delayed. A representative of the project's developers has requested that the discussion be tabled for the next few months, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

According to the newspaper, many residents have argued that The Hobgood Group's proposed 80-room high-end hotel and retail complex was not appropriate for the area as it butts up against a residential subdivision.
