Despite the fact that a developer was chosen just six weeks ago for an ambitious project overlooking the railyards on Manhattan's West Side, the project has now fallen through. Tishman Speyer Properties had been chosen to build the complex, which was to consist of office towers, apartments, and parks.
However, negotiations hit a hard spot this week when Tishman Speyer said it wanted to change the terms of the $1 billion development, according to the New York Times. The original deal was struck on March 26.
