Grant Helps Pave Way for New 25,000-SF Special Olympics State HQ

Special Olympics Massachusetts' plans for the construction of a new headquarters in Marlborough gets a $2.5 million boost, courtesy of a grant awarded by the Yawkey Foundation, the Boston Globe reports. The 25,000-square-foot building, to be known as the Yawkey Sports Training Center, carries a development price tag of $10.5 million. Work on the new facility will commence this fall, with a scheduled completion date in fall 2009 at which time the organization will relocated from its current home in Danvers.
