Nov 20, 2007

Developer Donald Chiofaro has agreed to pay $155 million for the site of a likely mixed-use development in Boston. Chiofaro acquired Harbor Garage, located adjacent to the New England Aquarium on the city’s waterfront, according to a report by Thomas Palmer Jr. in today’s Boston Globe. Chiofaro is expected to close on the property in the next several weeks, according to the report, which also said that Chiofaro’s bid was accepted from amongst three finalists due largely to his plan to retain some sort of parking structure as part of the new development.
