Children's Hospital of Michigan Plans $34 Million Pediatric Outpatient Center

In a move designed to ease overcrowding and simplify family visits, Children's Hospital of Michigan has decided to build a $34 million, five-story pediatric outpatient center. Known as the Children's Hospital Pediatric Center, the 75,000-square-foot facility will be the first expansion on the Detroit Medical Center Campus in three decades.

The center will house the hospital's general pediatrics clinic along with providing room for 200 doctor's offices, according to Crain's Detroit Business. "This will create more space and make it easier for families to come for wellness visits," Children's president Dr. Herman Gray told Crain's.
