Officials in Washington DC plan to lease the final land parcel of the District's former convention center to developers who plan to build an upscale 400-room hotel and 100,000 square feet of additional retail space on the site.
That 10-acre parcel will be part of the developers' planned $850 million mixed-use project known as CityCenter D.C. Archstone senior vice president Kenneth Miller told the Washington Business Journal that he wants the project to be in sync with those who will frequent it. "This isn't Rodeo Drive," he said. "We want to keep it tangible for people working here."
