Washington D.C. Clinic Property Sold
July 18, 2008

The building at 1407 S Street NW in Washington, D.C., home to the Whitman-Walker Clinic, has been sold. The JBG Cos. purchased the approximately 90,000-square-foot property from the healthcare center, which will continue to call the building home until the end of this year. Chevy Chasse, Md.-based JBG plans to play a part in the revitalization of the neighborhood by developing a much-needed residential and retail building on the site. For Whitman-Walker's part, the deal leaves the clinic with funds to pay down existing debts, create working capital reserves, and finance client services improvements.
