KDC to Expand Operations

KDC plans to open new offices in Chicago, Washington, D. C. and the San Francisco Bay area by the end of the year, as well as expanding its Houston operations, the company said today. E2M Partners and Sammons Enterprises have formed a joint venture to make a capital investment in KDC. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. KDC has completed more than 90 corporate build-to-suit office and industrial projects valued in excess of $2.5 billion and totaling more than 13 million square feet.

Transferring its headquarters from San Antonio to Dallas, telecom giant AT&T Inc. has moved into a 37-story high-rise and sold the building in a sale-leaseback deal to Icahn Enterprises for an undisclosed amount.

Construction has wrapped up for the first of two Class A office buildings that will comprise the 230,000-square-foot Atlantic Corporate Park in Sterling, Va., located about 25 miles from Washington, D.C., in Loudoun County.
Liberty Takes Class A Florida Office

Liberty Property Trust is expanding its portfolio in the Sawgrass International Corporate Park in Sunrise, Fla., with the acquisition of a 107,000-square-foot Class A office building. The REIT bought the building at 13621 NW 12th St. from Real Estate Capital Partners, but did not release the purchase price. The building is fully leased by UnitedHealthcare.
RFP Closes 86,000 SF of Renewals, Expansions at RiverEdge in Atlanta

RFP Mainstreet RiverEdge L.L.C. has closed more than 86,000 square feet of renewals and expansions at its RiverEdge office development in Atlanta’s Northwest submarket. The firm was represented by Jones Lang LaSalle. RFP Mainstreet RiverEdge acquired RiverEdge, a two-building, nearly 500,000-square-foot office complex, last year.
