CBRE Wins Leasing Role For Polish Shopping Center
July 2, 2008

CB Richard Ellis Inc. has won the role of sole leasing agent for the Galeria Victoria shopping center in Walbrzych, Poland, its developer, Keen Property Partners, has reported. The center will be the first modern retail, entertainment, residential and hotel complex in Walbrzych and the surrounding region.

The planned hotel and residential elements of the project will cost approximately 20 million euros. It will bring the first multiplex cinema, restaurants and cafés and both Polish and international retail brands to the city.

The Walbrzych project is designed by award-winning architects Chapman Taylor, who designed Baneasa Business and Technology Park in Bucharest, Romania, and Manchester Arndale Centre in the United Kingdom, Richard Keen, managing director at Keen said in a statement.

Said Michal Masztachowski, associate director at CB Richard Ellis, “Galeria Victoria is a unique shopping mall in terms of design, location and gross area. It has been designed to revitalize a hitherto neglected part of the city, creating a new public space and focal point for the community, with additional functions such as open-air concerts in the amphitheatre in summer, or the ice-skating rink planned for the winter months.”

Galeria Victoria will be developed by Keen Property Partners, a specialized real estate service provider currently focusing on two high growth potential sectors: high-end residential and regional retail.
