Orlando Sanford International Airport to Join Model Ports Initiative

Orlando Sanford International Airport is one of 20 gateway airports nationwide selected to join the U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Model Ports Initiative, a joint venture that includes federal agencies, the travel industry, airlines and airport authorities. it has reported. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection Model Ports Initiative represents an important partnership between government and the travel industry.  Besides Orlando, other Florida airports participating in the U.S. Customs program include Miami International Airport, Fort Lauderdale Airport and Orlando International Airport.
