Kimco Realty Buys Plazacorp Retail Properties Shares

Kimco Realty Corp'.'s subsidiary, Kimco Realty Services, Inc. purchased 1,000,000 common shares of Plazacorp Retail Properties Ltd., representing approximately 2.14 percent of the outstanding common shares of Plazacorp. The companies now own, in the aggregate, 6,680,032 common shares, representing approximately 14.28 percent of the outstanding common shares of Plazacorp, a publicly traded Canadian company. Kimco Realty Corporation or its affiliates have an option to purchase additional shares or otherwise trade in securities of Plazacorp from time to time depending on market conditions and other considerations.

Behringer Harvard continues to expand its presence in Central Europe. The company has acquired seven additional assets--a retail property in Hungary, five retail properties in the Czech Republic and a Czech logistics facility--via Wenceslas Behringer Ltd., a joint venture between Behringer Harvard Opportunity REIT I Inc. and St. Wenceslas Property Fund, which was formed in July.
